Hyde Leadership Charter School–Bronx, NY
Hyde-Bronx is a charter school serving one of the poorest areas of the south Bronx. Their philosophy is that every child is gifted with unique potential, and in order to reach that potential one must develop their character. Family involvement is key.

From the very beginning, Character Matters, the Hyde-Bronx newsletter, chronicled not only the development of the school, but the progress of its diverse students. Initially serving grades K–6, Hyde-Bronx constructed a new facility and expanded classes through middle- and high-school.

Serving an area where many students drop out of school without a diploma, Hyde-Bronx not only celebrated its first graduating class, but the fact that more than 90% of their graduates had been accepted into a college or university!
