New York Runner was the membership magazine of New York Road Runners. It was published five times a year—four regular issues plus the official ING New York City Marathon program—and had a distribution in excess of 30,000 copies.
Below are a sampling of covers, departments, and featured stories from the nine years I was the lead designer on New York Runner magazine. This was a period of expansion and outreach for NYRR, with membership steadily increasing and the NYC marathon reaching record participation levels.

Celebrating 50 Years Running (NYRR's 50th Anniversary)

A special edition of New York Runner celebrated the organization's 50th anniversary and recognized the "50 Who Made a Difference"—people who played a prominent role in NYRR and in the history of the New York City Marathon. It was subsequently reprinted—minus advertisements—as a limited edition.
