
The F.B. Heron Foundation uses its endowment to make grants and investments in organizations that share its mission: helping people and communities to help themselves through home ownership, enterprise development, and by providing access to capital and affordable child care.

The annual report also serves the purpose of informing and educating potential partners and grantees about the foundation's program guidelines, application procedures, and review processes.

The 2007 annual report had a pull-out section that explained in great detail the various forms of mission-related investments that the foundation undertakes. The 2006 annual report also included a pull-out essay on the organization's philosophy on mission stewardship.

Stolt Offshore's annual report showcased their technical capabilities, including the design, supply, and installation of subsea architecture at all stages—from the wellheads to fixed or floating-process platforms.

Cendant stock had fallen after an accounting scandal came to light. The company's strength remained the name recognition of its many brands and their leadership in their respective industries. This annual report emphasized those strengths to their shareholders in a lighthearted way.
